Colm Burke

Member of Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (MRIAI)

Colm Burke established Burke Studio Architects in 2008, following 5 years post graduate work with Costello Murray Beaumont (CMB Design Group) during which time he worked on a variety of Architectural Projects in the Domestic, Commercial and Healthcare sectors. CMB had Grade 1 Conservation Accreditation and Colm worked extensively on Historic or Protected Structures.

The following is a brief summary of Colm's current qualifications:
  • 2003 - Graduated from UCD School of Architecture BArch (Hons) Qualification
  • 2007 - RIAI Examination in Profession Practice
  • 2007 to Date - Member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (MRIAI)
  • 2008 - Established Burke Studio Architects
Colm was involved in the following range of Projects during his time with CMB Design Group:
  • Protected Structures - Modern interventions and restoration work in conjunction with the office Principal. Responsible for survey and reports on a variety of large scale conservation projects.
  • Domestic - Over saw a variety of Domestic projects including a new build 250sqm structure in Dalkey. Acted as Project Architect on all stages of the first Frank Lloyd Wright designed domestic project in Europe.
  • Health Care Sector - Projects in this sector included renovation, refurbishment and new build works on existing Protected Structures, within a city centre campus location.
Colm also previously worked with Patrick Mellett Architectes in Paris during the period from June '99 to March '00.
